Hi, I said hi, my name is Jake.  Man, am I really glad to meet you.  Hey let me rollover so you can rub my belly.  Oh darn, my foster mom said I have to tell you about myself right now.  Maybe we could meet later for a little belly rubbing???

  I am a male golden retriever that is 2-3 years old and only weighs about 60 pounds right now.  I was found at a local pet feed store.  I have no idea where my family went but I love food so it smelled good to me.  Well they said I couldn’t keep just hanging around there and no one claimed me so I was sent to rescue.  It’s ok here.

   They took me to the vet and I had vaccinations, was neutered and tested positive for something called heartworms so I had treatment for those too.  That has been the worst!  Have you ever had someone ask you to sit still for 30 days?  Wow, that’s hard!  My butt just keeps wiggling and I want to play sooo bad.  I want to give kisses and see you and maybe play with that toy or that one and that one too.  Oh, please get me out of here.  They are nice but I want a family and a home of my own.

   I love everyone and want to tell them so.  My foster mom says I need to learn some manners.  Hey, are they really all they are cracked up to be?  Well, maybe you could teach me some in between belly rubs?
