Oh Hello.  My name is Petey.  I am about nine months old and I weigh 10.7 pounds.  I am a chihuahua mix.  I was taken to the animal shelter and dropped off so I stayed and waited for my family to come and pick me up.  Well, that never happened but the rescue did come and get me.  I need a new home, a forever home.

I am happy, just love life and talk about it.  I like other dogs and love to run and play in the fenced yard.  If you have another dog for me to play with that would be nice too.  If not maybe you could play with me.

I can jump up high and run fast.  It's like I am a super pup!

Honestly, I need some work on my manners and walking on a leash.  I just get so excited it's hard to think straight sometimes but I do believe as I grow older I will listen even better.  Please teach me how to be a good little man.  I do want to love you so maybe we could cuddle sometimes.

I am 95 % black and have a little spot of white on my chest so expect some black hair on your clothes or in the house.  I am pretty vocal when I need to go potty but I still might have an accident or two while we are getting to know each other.

I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.  My adoption fee is 175.00.  The first step in adopting me, Petey, is to fill out the adoption application at dogsasfamily.org.  You and I could have real fun together.
